Aunque oficialmente Mercedes Benz Madrid Fashion Week no empieza hasta mañana, se puede decir que la semana de la moda ya ha dado comienzo en Madrid con los distintos desfiles del Off e inciativas como Madrid Fashion Show. Esta edición no voy a poder vivir muchas cosas en primera persona, es lo que tiene que las fechas de la mayoría de los desfiles coincidan con mi horario de trabajo y hoy por hoy no me puedo permitir tomarme unos días libres. Por suerte, ayer sí me pude escapar antes del trabajo parar ver los primeros desfiles de Madrid Fashion Show que tuvieron lugar en el Museo del Traje. Aunque no me pude quedar hasta el final, vi los desfiles de Alberto Puras y Santiago del Palacio. Lo malo es que no tuve mucha suerte con mi cámara, así que casi que decidí disfrutar de los desfiles en vez de luchar contra ella para conseguir fotos decentes. Así que, al la espera de crear algún que otro post sobre lo que vi ayer y el resto de colecciones que se presenten esta semana, os dejo con el look que elegí para la ocasión.

Fashion week has already started in Madrid. I won't be able to enjoy most of the events sorrounding fashion week due to my working hours, but yesterday I attended a couple of shows (Alberto Puras and Santiago del Palacio) at the Fashion Museum in Madrid. I didn't have much luck with my camera so today I'll only show you what I wore for the occasion. I'll try to post about what I saw yesterday and my fashion week favourites soon.

Cada viernes mi hermana Alba viene a pasar la noche a mi casa, así que los sábados siempre aprovechamos para pasear, ir de compras e ir probando nuevos bares y restaurantes por mi nuevo barrio. Pero este sábado añadimos una actividad más a nuestro planning. Siempre suele ser mi hermana la que saca las fotos de mis looks, pero esta vez cambiamos las tornas. Así que con un vestido de mi amplia colección de vestidos de flores vintage, muchas luces de cuento y mi habitación nos marcamos esta primera sesión. Próximamente más.

Every Friday night my little sister Alba comes to my place to spend the night, so the plan every Saturday is to do some shooping, walk around and try new bars and restaurants in my new neighbourhood. But this Saturday we add a little activity to our schedule. Although Alba is normally the one behind the camera taking my outfit pics, this time we decided to change places and have her as the model. So with one of my many floral vintage dresses, my dreamy lights and my room we took these pictures. More to come soon.

El tiempo parece que no va a acompañar este fin de semana, pero la semana pasada si que se portó bien y pude salir a la calle sin abrigo. Sip, el último post sin bolso y éste sin abrigo, es bastante evidente que últimamente me gusta ir lo más cómoda posible y que creo que con pocas piezas se puede conseguir un look en condiciones.

Que paséis un fin de semana genial. Yo tengo pensado hacer alguna cosita más creativa de lo normal en mi casa.

It seems like the weather isn't gonna be too good this weekend but at least it was great last weekend and I was able to go for a walk without my coat. Yes, last post was about leaving your bag at home and this one is about leaving your coat. It's pretty clear how I'm really into confortable outfits these days and I really think you can create great looks with very few pieces.

Una de las cosas que más me gustan de vivir en el centro es poder salir a la calle con lo justo y dejarte el bolso en casa. Porque sí, el bolso es un accesorio que muchas veces me estorba más que otra cosa. Y este look es una prueba de ello. Comodidad ante todo.

One of the things I like the most about living in the centre of Madrid is been able to leave the house without my handbag and just take the basic stuff. I have to admit, it sometimes annoys me to wear handbags and this look is an example of that. Confort sometimes is the most important thing.

Después de pasarme las navidades prácticamente sin salir de casa y de pasar unos días con un humor un tanto triste, este fin de semana me convencieron para salir de casa y animarme un poco. El resultado fue un fin de semana bastante completo que culminó con una jornada de compras. Aunque parezca mentira aún no había pisado las rebajas, aunque cierto es que por norma general no me suelen gustar demasiado, así que el domingo aproveché para hacer un par de compras y este es el look que elegí para la ocasión.

After spending most of my Christmas holidays stuck at home and feeling a bit down lately, this weekend my friends convinced me to leave the house and cheer up. The result was actually a pretty ok weekend that ended with a bit of shopping. I hadn't made a visit to the sales yet, although I'm not a big fan of them anyway, so on Sunday I did a little bit of shopping and this is the look I wore for the occasion.

New look

Una semana he tardado en publicar fotos con mi nuevo corte de pelo. Esta vez el motivo no ha sido sólo mi ya habitual falta de tiempo y medios, si no el disgusto que me pillé al salir de la peluquería. ¿Y por qué? Pues aunque quizás no se aprecie mucho en las fotos, por primera vez en mi vida he salido de la peluquería con un auténtico desastre en el pelo y sus consecuentes lloros. Se puede decir que tengo dos cortes de pelo en uno. Por un lado está la parte de delante, que se asemeja bastante a lo que yo quería conseguir, y luego está la parte de detrás, ésa que mi peluquera decidió cortar como le dio la real gana y dejarme con un pelo corto corto con unas capas espantosas. Desde el momento en que soltó la tijera y me toqué la parte de detrás me entraron ganas de llorar, pero por suerte me contuve y le conseguí parar los pies para que por delante no me hiciera el mismo destrozo. Ahora, y en los próximos meses hasta que consiga que me crezca el pelo, tendré que ir diariamente acompañada de sombreros, bufandas anchas y fulares para taparme el desastre que me han hecho por detrás. Por suerte las fotos me las hago de frente, así que hoy os traigo éstas para que veáis la parte decente de mi nuevo corte de pelo. Yo mientras tanto seguiré usando potingues milagrosos para que me crezca el pelo más rápido y poder volver a la normalidad. Sobra decir que no voy a pisar una peluquería en una buena temporada, pero desde aquí hago un llamamiento a todo aquel que se dedique a la peluquería:

¡Por favor! ¡No juguéis con nuestros sentimientos de esta manera! ¡Si digo que quiero que me corten el pelo así es así y punto! ¡El cliente siempre tiene la razón!

Here are the pictures with my new disaster haircut. Why disaster? Well, you might not be able to see it in the pics but I actually have two haircuts in one. My hairdresser decided not to listen to me and she cut the back of my hair in a completely different syle to what I asked her. At least I managed to stopped her when she got to the front part. The problem is that now I have to wear hats, big scarfs and anything that can cover the back of my hair so that people don't see the disaster my hairdresser has created. I felt so sad and angry when I left the hairdresser's. I won't be visiting one in a very long time...

Mi admiración por el estilo de Alexa Chung no es nada nuevo. Igual que tampoco es ninguna novedad que su corte de pelo marca tendencia desde hace ya un buen tiempo. Pero como a mi me gusta ir a mi ritmo es ahora cuando he decidido atreverme a cortarme un buen tajo. Cierto es que de un tiempo a esta parte he ido cortándome el pelo poco a poco, (hay que recordar que yo empecé por estos lares con una melena bastante considerable), pero con esto del "año nuevo, vida nueva" he decidido tomármelo al pie de la letra y añadirle un "corte nuevo". Así que lo dicho, próximamente, siempre y cuando no me eche para atrás, me veréis con un nuevo look. Y quién sabe, igual hasta me da por volver a mis raíces literalmente y volver a mi color natural, es algo que llevo pensando un tiempo.

My love for Alexa Chung's style isn't something new. What's also not new is how Alexa's haircut is always on the best haircut lists. But, I like to do things in my own timing so after a long time thinking about it I've decided to go for it and try to pull Alexa's cool haircut. It's true I've being going towards that haircut for a long time (don't forget I started this blog with pretty long hair), but I think with this "new year, new life" philosophy it's the perfect time to add a "new haircut". So, unless I change my mind, you'll soon see me with my new hair style. And who knows, I might even literally go back to my roots and go back to my natural hair colour, it's something I've been thinking for a while.

El día de Reyes marca para mi el final de las navidades. Y como siempre lo celebro con la última comilona navideña en familia en Tres Cantos. Un poco de aire fresco en lo alto de la colina con la puesta de sol y ya tenemos unas fotos para el blog.

Today in Spain we celebrate The Three Wise Men. I've always understood the 6th of January as the day that marks the end of the Christmas holidays. Más vale tarde que nunca, así que desde aquí os deseo FELIZ AÑO a todos. Y para empezar el año de manera distinta, el primer look del 2012 corre a cargo de mi hermana Alba. Por dos motivos: 1. Estoy dedicando mis vacaciones a vaguear como nunca, lo que implica pisar la calle lo menos posible; 2. Mi hermana pequeña tiene estilazo suficiente como para lucirlo por aquí, que además hay que empezar a pensar en futuras generaciones.

He estado ausente toda la semana pero vuelvo al blog por navidad. Bueno, no sólo al blog, también a mi casa y a mi antiguo escenario para fotografiar mis looks. Las cosas como son, echaba de menos esa luz del atarcedecer para sacar fotos. Al caso, espero que estéis pasando unas navidades geniales. Las mías no están siendo nada del otro mundo, se nota que la navidad ya no es lo que era. I've been a little bit absent this week, but I'm back to the blog for Christmas. Not only to the blog but I've also returned home and that means taking outfit pics where I used to. No es nada nuevo decir que adoro ir de compras, aunque sorprendentemente últimamente me esté consiguiendo mantener alejada de ellas, sin embargo reconozco que comprar regalos para los demás no me apasiona excesivamente. Pero claro, cuando llegan estas fechas no queda otra que apechugar e ir en busca del regalo perfecto. Y eso precisamente hice el sábado. It's nothing new to say I love shopping although lately I've managed to keep away from the shops, however I don't really enjoy buying presents for other people. Empiezo la semana con algunos pequeños detalles de lo que vi en el Open Day de Replica hace unas semanas. Siempre es un placer rodearse de marcas de prestigio en una genial localización como son las oficinas de Replica. Pudimos conocer la colección de baño y lenceria de Eres, ponernos al día con los productos de Germaine de Capuccini, pero lo que más captó mi atención fueron las firmas de calzado y accesorios. It's always a pleasure to see quality designer brands especially if it involves enjoying an amazing location such as the Replica offices. El sábado pasado las chicas de Loca por tu Ropa tuvieron la genial idea de organizar una comida blogger y obviamente no rechacé la invitación. Siempre he sido muy partidaria de conocer en persona a la gente que hay detrás del blog. De hecho ya hay mucha gente a la que he podido conocer y algunos se han ido convirtiendo en amigos de verdad. Fue un placer ponerle cara a Sandra y María (de Loca por tu Ropa), Nuria y Miriam (de Dos en la Pasarela), Cristina, Julia y Erea (la única a la que ya conocía desde hace mucho tiempo). La comida fue genial, el sitio era chulísimo y aprovechamos para cotillear mucho y ponernos al día de nuestras vidas. Lo único malo es que dejé mi cámara abandonada en el bolso y no saqué ninguna foto. Muy mal por mi parte. Al menos las chicas de Loca por tu Ropa estuvieron en todo y aprovecharon para sacar fotos de todos nuestros looks. Así que aprovechando que ya han posteado el mío, les robo la foto y os muestro el look que elegí para la ocasión.

En definitiva, siempre es un placer ir conociendo a más y más bloggers, sobre todo cuando la quedada termina con la idea de repetir próximamente. A ver si para la siguiente saco fotos...

Last Saturday, the girls from Loca por tu Ropa decided to organize a bloggers lunch and I obviously accepted the invitation. I've always been a fan of meeting the people behind the blogs. In fact, I've had the pleasure to meet quite a few bloggers and some of them have actually become really good friends. It was great to finally meet Sandra and María (from Loca por tu Ropa), Nuria and Miriam (from Dos en la Pasarela), Cristina, Julia and Erea (who I've known for a very long time now). The restaurant was amazing, and we had the chance to gossip and to get to know each other a little better. The only problem is that I left my camera in my bag and I didn't take any pictures. Fortunately, the girls from Loca por tu Ropa took pictures of all of our outfits and now that they have posted mine I can show you what I wore that day.

Once again, it was a pleasure to meet more fellow bloggers and we are already thinking about doing it again. Let's hope the next time we meet I remember to take some pics...

Al menos pude escaparme para hacer una rápida visita al showroom de The Cruditè Company y ver qué nos traerán Woolrich, Dolfie y B.D. Baggies para la próxima temporada.

These past few weeks have been full of open days, presentations and all kinds of events. But I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to attend most of these events. Con esto de la mudanza he recuperado alguna prenda que tenía en el olvido. Entre ellas esta chaqueta que me compré hace siglos, cuando todavía tenía mi color de pelo natural. Como dato curioso os diré que siempre sitúo todo en el tiempo en base a antes o después de ser rubia platino...Y de eso ya hace muchos años. El caso es que decidí darle otra oportunidad y aquí está el resultado. Además, como buena escocesa que soy, no puede faltar un poco de tartan en mi armario...

Moving to my new house has made me realise that there are quite a few things I had that I didn't even remember. One of these things is this coat. I bought it ages ago, when I still had my natural hair color. I have to confess I always set things in time according to the time I started dying my hair, and I've been a platinum blonde for a ver long time. Anyway, I decided to give the coat a second chance and this is the result. In the end, I'm Scottish, so I obviously have to have some tartan in my closet.

La independencia tiene muchas cosas buenas, pero también tiene un lado no tan positivo. Y es que ahora toca controlar mucho más los gastos y por tanto mi ritmo de compras ya no podrá ser el mismo. Pero bueno, siempre me quedará deleitarme con colecciones tan geniales como ésta de Carven. Y es que lo tiene todo para ser una de mis colecciones favoritas de este invierno: los colores, los abrigos de piel, las trencas, los estampados y los mocasines. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? Bueno sí, dinero para poder comprarme uno de esos jerseys. Tendré que seguir echando la loteria....

Getting your own place can bring you a lot of positive things, but there is another aspect that it's not that great. From now on I have to change my spending habits and that means a lot less shopping. Anyway, I can always resort to indulge myself looking at amazing collections like Carven's fall/winter collection. It has everything I need to fall in love with a winter collection: the colours, the fur coats, duffle coats, the prints and the loafers. What else can you ask for? Well, it would be nice to have enough money to buy one of these amazing sweaters. I guess I'll have to continue playing the lottery...

Supongo que los que no me seguís en twitter no sabréis a qué se ha debido esta pequeña ausencia. Pues resulta que por fin, ¡lo he conseguido! ¡Me he independizado! Al final todo ha salido perfecto y he conseguido un piso donde siempre había querido vivir, con balcón incluido a mi querida calle Fuencarral. Pero todavía queda mucho trabajo para que mi amiga Tichún y yo consigamos que nuestro piso se convierta en nuestro nuevo hogar. Estoy deseando que empiece a tomar forma y poder enseñaros el resultado final. Mientras tanto os dejo con una imagen de mi lugar favorito de la casa. ¡Soy tan feliz en este balcón! Y lo sería mucho más si mi cuerpo no siguiera lleno de virus, pero eso ya es otra historia...

I guess all of you who don't follow me on twitter have no idea why I haven 't been posting this week. The thing is, I finally did it! I got my own place in the centre of Madrid, in the very same neighborhood I always wanted to live in, with my own little balcony to my beloved Fuencarral street. But there's still a lot of work to be done before my friend Tichun and I manage to turn this appartment into our new home. I can't wait to show you the result. In the meantime here's an image of my favourite part of the house. I'm so happy with my balcony! Although I would be even happier if my pharyngitis had already dissapeared, but that's another story....

Éste no ha sido mi mejor fin de semana. A cierto tema que me traía un poco de mal humor se le unió un terrible dolor de garganta y oídos que me llevó a hacer una visita de urgencia al médico el sábado. La faringitis y su consecuente malestar general todavía me acompañan, pero al menos he visto un poco la luz en ese otro tema que me trae de cabeza, pero hasta dentro de unos días no podré cantar victoria. ¡Crucemos los dedos!

Por lo demás, no sé si ya lo he mencionado alguna vez pero tengo verdadera obsesión por los abrigos, Hay gente que le da por los zapatos, otra por los bolsos, pues lo mío son los abrigos. Cada temporada me tengo que comprar alguno y éste es el primero de este otoño-invierno. ¿Qué os parece?

This wasn't my best weekend. First of all, I haven't been in my best mood lately due to a little thing that has been driving me crazy. Secondly, I started feeling a terrible pain in my throat and ears so I had to make a quick visit to the doctor on Saturday. My pharyngitis hasn't abandoned me yet, but at least I've started to see the light in that other thing that was worrying me, although I can`t have anything for sure for a few more days. Wish me luck!

On another note, have I ever mentioned how much I love coats? Some people have a thing for shoes, others for bags, but in my case, I love love love coats. Every season I tend to buy a few coats, and this one I'm showing you today is the first one of my fall winter 2011-2012 collection. What do you think?

La semana pasada recibí en casa la caja de octubre de GLOSSYBOX. Para los que todavía no conocéis este proyecto, os diré que se trata de una empresa que por una suscripción de 10 euros al mes os envía mensualmente a casa una cajita con 5 muestras de productos de belleza de lujo seleccionados especialmente siguiendo los gustos y necesidades de las suscriptoras. Para las que como yo estáis totalmente fuera del mundo de la cosmética (es una de mis asignaturas pendientes) supongo que puede venirnos bien para ponernos al día de los productos más interesantes. Además siempre tendréis la opción de haceros con el producto en tamaño normal.

Last week a little present arrived at my doorstep. It was the Octuber box from GLOSSYBOX. In case you still don't know about this project, I'll tell you that it's a company that for 10 euros a month will send you a litlle box every month with 5 samples of amazing beauty products especially chosen according to the suscribers' tastes and needs. For us who don't now much about the beauty world, it's a great chance to get to know all the interesting products out there and there's always the chance to get the product in the regular size.

Cambiando de tema, ayer me pasé todo el día paseando por la zona de Tribunal en busca de mi disfraz de Halloween y, más importante, de mi futuro piso que me abrirá las puertas de la independencia. Todavía no puedo cantar victoria en cuanto al piso, pero al menos encontré un vestido que cumple los requisitos para mi disfraz (que ya os intentaré enseñar) y esta chaqueta tan fea pero tan bonita a la vez. ¿Sabéis a lo que me refiero cuando encontráis una prenda que puede tener un cierto punto hortera o feo pero que a la vez os encanta? Pues eso mismo me pasó con esta chaqueta vintage. Además, las flores me recuerdan ligeramente a los estampados de la colección primavera-verano de Ashis, una de mis favoritas para la próxima temporada, así que más puntos a su favor.

On another note, I spent the whole day yesterday walking around the centre of Madrid looking for my Halloween costume and, more importantly, an appartment to start my life as an independent individual. I can't say I was lucky with the appartment search yet, but I did find a dress that serves my needs for my halloween costume (I´ll try to show you the result) and this ugly but at the same time beautiful vintage jacket. Do you also sometimes find clothes that have some sort of a tacky or ugly touch but you love them anyway? Well, that's what happened with this jacket. Furthermore, the flowers remind me of the prints in Ashis spring collection, and that's a bonus cause it's one of my favourite collections for next season.

Si el otro día os enseñaba a mi hermano Kevin, hoy le toca el turno a mi hermana Alba. Tengo que decir que cuando yo tenía su edad mi sentido de la moda era prácticamente inexistente. La semana pasada me invitaron a visitar el showroom de Woolrich y me ofrecieron elegir algunas de sus prendas para crear unos estilismos. En cuanto empecé a cotillear la ropa pensé inmediatamente en mi hermano Kevin. Y es que el estilo de Woolrich es la viva imagen del estilo de Kevin. Le vi perfectamente con sus camisas de cuadros y sus increíbles parkas, así que decidí centrar los estilismos en él. Ya que iba a hacer un post especial con mi hermano como protagonista, decidí ir más allá y le pedí a mi amiga Silvia que posara con los estilismos para chica y a Susana que se encargara de las fotos. Y éste es el resultado de la primera sesión.

Woolrich es el tipo de marca que me suele llamar más la atención por las prendas masculinas. Reconozco que soy muy típica y un chico con una buena camisa de cuadros siempre captará mi atención. Ahora bien, las chicas también podemos picar de la ropa de chico y en eso precisamente se basa esta primera sesión.

Las week I was invited to visit Woolrich's showroom in Madrid and I was offered to choose some pieces to create a few looks. The minute I laid my eyes on the clothes, I thought of my brother Kevin. The style Woolrich represents is exactly Kevin's style. I could perfectly see him wearing their checked shirts and amazing parkas, so I decided to use Kevin as my model for the shooting. Considering I was going to do a very special post, I decided to go farther and ask my friend Silvia to model too and Susana to take the pics. And this is the result of our first shooting.

Woolrich is the type of brand that usually drives my attention to the masculine section. I have to admit, I'm the typical girl who goes crazy for a boy with a great checked shirt. However, us girls can also take advantage of men's clothes and that's what this first shooting is about.

Curso Beba's Closet

La semana pasada, Belén Barbero, de Beba's Closet, se puso en contacto conmigo para ponerme al día de su último proyecto. Se trata de un curso para promover la formación en moda unida a la gestión de una marca. Me pareció que esta idea podría interesaros a alguno de vosotros, así que pensé que sería conveniente difundirla. Lo interesante de este curso es que se enseñará todo lo necesario para poner en marcha una marca de moda de manera muy práctica y desde la propia experiencia de Belén. También, además de contar con importantes profesionales del sector de la moda para impartir las clases, existirá la posibilidad de realizar prácticas en el taller de Beba's Closet. Así que ya sabéis, si estáis interesados en comenzar o continuar vuestra formación en moda, ésta puede ser una buena oportunidad para hacerlo. A modo personal, os diré que conozco a Belén en persona y es una tía encantadora de la que sin duda podréis aprender mucho. Recuerdo perfectamente aquella visita que hice a su taller hace ya un tiempo (aquí) en la que, después de nuestra charla, salí super contenta con la sensación de haber aprendido un montón de cosas y de una manera muy cercana.

Os juro que odio sacar fotos por la noche, a no ser, claro está, que se trate de fotos de fiesta. Pero esta vez, y a falta de horas de luz para sacar fotos a lo largo de la semana, he decidido darle a las fotos nocturnas una oportunidad. ¿Repetiré experiencia? No sé. Lo que sí sé es que al menos este fin de semana tendré tiempo para sacar muchas fotos, que tengo varios planes interesantes entre manos.

I swear I hate taking pictures when it's night time, unless of course, we are talking about party pics. But this time, considering I've had no time during the week to take pics when it's day time, I've decided to give night shots a chance. Will I do it again? I'm not sure. But what I do know is that this weekend I'll have lots of time to take lots of pics during the day, I have a few projects in mind.

¿No os pasa que cuando vais en busca de un regalo para alguien os es inevitable buscar cosas para vosotros? A mí sí. Me cuesta mucho concienciarme de que no estoy buscando algo para mí. De hecho son pocas las veces que consigo no gastarme el dinero en mí. Y ayer no fue uno de esos días. Me encontré, casi por casualidad, con este turbante. Siglos llevaba detrás de uno y con más ganas aún lo buscaba después de ver algunos turbantes en la exposición de YSL. Obviamente, no se puede comparar con los del diseñador, pero no podía esperar a enseñaros unas fotos con él. La última de regalo para los que dicen que siempre poso muy seria...

Is it just me, or do you also find it impossible whenever you are buying a present for a friend not to look for stuff for you? Well, that's definitely my case. I find it really hard to focus on not getting anything for myself and I hardly ever manage to do so. And yesterday wasn't any different. I found this turban practically by chance. I had been longing for a turban for a very long time, and this need to get one actually increased after seeing some amazing turbans at the YSL exhibition. It is obvious that you can't compare this turban to the ones the designer made, but I couldn't wait to take some pictures and show it to you. And the last picture, well, that's a little gift for those who say I always look very serious in my pictures.

En época de crisis es el momento de reinventarse. Una ya no se puede permitir estar comprando ropa todo el día cuando se tiene en mente independizarse en breves. Cierto es que no he abandonado las compras por completo, pero sí estoy aprendiendo a controlarme un poco y reutilizar prendas con distintas combinaciones. Y este look es un buen ejemplo de ello. El jersey, si no me equivoco, es de hace dos años, el vestido me lo he puesto hasta la saciedad durante el verano, y las botas, qué decir de mis queridas Doc Martens y todas las aventuras que he vivido con ellas.

In times of economic crisis it is time to reinvent yourself. I can't afford to spend as much as I used to on clothes if I'm planning to move away from home shortly. Although I haven't quit shopping completely, I am learning to spend my money more wisely and to use old pieces in my wardrobe with lots of different combinations. And this outfit is an example of this. The sweater, I think I got it two years ago; the dress, I've worn it practically every day this summer; and the boots, what can I say about my beloved Doc Martens, they've been with me through so much.

Lo bueno de las compras vintage es que muchas veces vas buscando una cosa y al final vuelves a casa con algo completamente distinto. Y eso precisamente es lo que me ha pasado a mí hoy cuando me he encontrado con estos mocasines tan alucinantes de Jaime Mascaró. Amor a primera vista es lo que he sentido. Tanto que, por primera vez en la historia, me he lanzado a comprar zapatos en una tienda vintage.

I can now say I've finally been to "El Pilar", the famous local festivities of Zaragoza. Our plans didn't turn out as we expected, but we had an amazing night anyway. Empiezo a pensar que, como el tiempo siga así, vamos a pasar por alto el otoño y acabar llevando directamente las tendencias para el próximo verano. Por si se diera el caso, yo ya estoy haciendo una recopilación de mis colecciones favoritas y una de ellas es, sin lugar a dudas, Dolce y Gabbana y su huerto. Igual hasta dejo mi querido estampado de flores y lo cambio por guindillas, berenjenas y calabazas.

I'm starting to think that, if the weather doesn't change, we'll end up skipping autumn and start wearing all the trends for next summer. Just in case this happens, I've already started my own little compilation with all my favourite collections. Amongst them, without a doubt, is Dolce and Gabbana's vegetable garden. Who knows, maybe I'll cheat on my beloved floral print with chilli peppers, aubergines and pumpkins.

Art Inspiration

He aquí un post muy diferente a lo que suelo mostrar. Resulta que una amiga me pidió ayuda con los estilismos para un trabajo para la universidad. Por supuesto, teniendo en cuenta que mi trabajo ideal sería el de estilista, acepté encantada. Y esta tarde nos hemos puesto manos a la obra. ¿Y por qué os traigo este post? Porque ha sido la obra de Waterhouse la que hemos usado como principal fuente de inspiración. Parte de nuestro objetivo será intentar imitar el mundo mágico de algunas de estas imágenes. Imágenes que me han resultado tan inspiradoras que no me quedaba otra que dedicarles un espacio en este blog. Ahora sólo pienso en vestirme como una ninfa del bosque y tirarme en el campo entre flores. Una pena que lo que me espera mañana no sea el paisaje bucólico que a mí me gustaría...

Today I bring you a very different post. Some days ago, a friend asked me if I could help her with the styling for a very special task she has to do for uni. Of course, considering my dream would be to become a stylist, my answer was yes, and today we started putting some things together. And what is the reason for this post? The thing is, we've used Waterhouse' work as our main source of inspiration. The idea is to recreate the magical world behind some of these pictures. Pictures that I've found so inspiring that I couldn't resist dedicating them a space in this blog. Now, I can only think of dressing as a nymph and lying on the grass sorrounded by flowers. It's a shame tomorrow I won't find myself in such a bucolic scenery...

Estos zapatos de H&M son la última incorporación a mi armario. Desde que los vi hace tiempo supe que antes o después tenía que comprármelos, y eso mismo hice esta semana. Tenía unas ganas locas de estrenarlos y cuando lo hice no me fue tan bien cómo me esperaba. Resulta que lo que empezó siendo la típica rozadura que te hace un zapato nuevo se ha convertido en una infección en el pie. Cosas que me pasan... Quiero pensar que una vez estrenados ya no me darán mucho problema, pero en cualquier caso, no me los vuelvo a poner sin calcetines.

These H&M shoes are new in my closet. Since I saw them some time ago I knew I would have to buy them sooner or later, and that's what I did this week. I was really looking forward to wearing them but when I did it wasn't a very good experience. What started as the typical rubbing ended up being ifection on my foot. Funny, right? I want to think this just happened because it was my first time wearing them, but just in case, I will never wear them without socks again.

Ayer tuve el placer de ver en primicia, con visita guiada incluida, la exposición de YSL que la Fundación Mapfre, en colaboración con la Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, organiza en Madrid. Se trata de la primera restrosprectiva del artista que se realiza en España, una ocasión perfecta para conocer en profundidad el trabajo de este genio. Desde sus comienzos en la casa Dior, pasando por su relación con los grandes artistas del siglo XX, su proceso de creación y por supuesto todos los diseños que han hecho que su nombre haya pasado a la historia.

Sólo tengo buenas palabras para esta exposición. Cualquier amante de la moda (y del arte en general) que se precie no se la puede perder. Os aseguro que es algo muy especial estar delante de diseños tan icónicos como el esmoquin, la sahariana o el vestido mondrian. Poder conocer a fondo la vida de un genio como YSL y entender el porqué de sus creaciones en cada etapa de su vida como diseñador. Y todo ello gracias a una exposición espléndidamente organizada.

Sólo puedo deciros que no dejéis de visitarla, y para ir abriendo boca, os dejo con algunas fotos que saqué, ahora bien, nada comparado con verlo en directo.

Totalmente recomendado. Tenéis del 6 de octubre al 8 de enero para ver esta maravilla.

Perdón por mi careto. Es lo que tiene la falta de maquillaje y la vuelta al trabajo, que ya no tiene una ni tiempo para sacar fotos con luz en condiciones. Por lo demás, este vestido no es nuevo en el blog, pero ya se sabe, cambias el bolso y los zapatos, le añades una chaqueta y un sombrero, y hasta parece otra cosa.

A dormir que me voy, que me espera mañana un día largo pero entretenido.

Anyway, this isn't the first time you've seen this dress, but you know, you change the shoes and the bag, you add a jacket and a hat, and it looks like a whole new outfit.

En mi útlimo post dije que éste sería mi último fin de semana de vacaciones, pero la realidad ha sido otra. Hoy me he pasado todo el día haciendo lo que podría considerarse un DIY, salvo que en este caso, en lugar de tratarse de hacerme la prenda más molona del momento, me he pasado todo el día pintando la academia de mi madre para poder empezar mañana las clases. Pero bueno, lo importante es que el trabajo lo hemos hecho con nuestras propias manos, ¿no? Ahora bien, lo peor del día de hoy no ha sido eso. Una que tiene muy mala suerte se ha encontrado con la policía de camino a casa, y ¡toma!, multa al canto. Moraleja: llevar todos los papeles en regla. In my last post I told you this would be the last weekend of my summer holidays, but in the end, it hasn't really been like that. I've spent the whole day doing what we could consider a DIY. Although instead of making myself the item of the moment, I've been painting my mum's academy so that we can start the classes tomorrow. The important thing is that we've done it with our own hands, right? However, this wasn't the worst part of my day. On my way home,I got pulled over by the police, and what did I get? A ticket! So remember, make sure you always have all your documents in your car, and if you don't, don't try to play the stupid blonde girl role with green paint all over your face.

About the pictures, this is just an outfit I wore this week. Perfect for autumn, although it's still very hot in Madrid, but I can't wait to start wearing warm clothes!

A day in Edimburgh

Éste será mi último fin de semana de vacaciones antes de empezar a trabajar. Y pese a que soy una persona a la que el verano se le suele hacer muy largo, es en estos momentos, cuando ves que en nada entras en la rutina, cuando empiezas a echar de menos los días de verano. Y para despedirme de ellos, os dejo con unas fotos de un día en Edimburgo con mi familia. Nos dejamos la cámara en casa, así que en su defecto usamos cámaras de usar y tirar, y como siempre, no puedo estar más contenta con el resultado.

This weekend will be the last weekend of my summer holidays before going back to work. Although I usually feel that my summer is too long, it is now, when I see myself going back to the routine in just a couple of days, that I start to miss my summer days. So, as a farewell to the summer of 2011, I show you a few pics I took on a day out in Edimburgh with my family. We forgot our camera at home, so we used disposible cameras, and as usual, I couldn't be happier with the result.

Para mi último día de Cibeles decidí sacar mi lado más oscuro, que lo tengo aunque ya no lo saque tanto a pasear, añadiendo este chaleco que tanto me gusta que me compré en el mercadillo de Portobello, a mí ya tradicional look de H&M. Y nos montamos una minisesión de fotos con Ana como fotógrafa principal. Hay que ver cómo posa la tía. Todo un placer conocer a una de mis bloggers favoritas en persona y reunirme una vez más con mis compañeros de aventuras Alex, Cynthia y Susana, y los chicos de Violet Dreams, con los que también disfrutamos de muchos momentos en Cibeles.

For my last day at Cibeles I decided to bring out my darker side, which I have but I just seem to leave at home, adding my beloved leather waistcoat I got in Portobello Market to my traditional H&M outfit. And we had a little shooting with Ana as our main photographer. It's amazing to see her in front of the camera. It was a pleasure to meet one of my favourite bloggers and get together with my blogger friends Alex, Cynthia, Susana, and also Pablo and Bea from Violet Dreams, with whom we spent a lot of great moments in Cibeles.

Hacía tiempo que no me ponía delante del objetivo de Susana, y es que aunque antes era ella la que me sacaba la gran mayoría de mis fotos, poco a poco fue mi hermana la que se acabó quedando con el papel de mi fotógrafa personal. Ya se sabe que a las hermanas pequeñas es más fácil de manejar... Pero aprovechando Cibeles, le pedí a Susana que me sacara estas fotos para mostrar el look del día. Look cómodo donde los haya, sobre todo porque después de pasarme el día anterior entero con los tacones y tener algún percance con los zapatos al final del día, necesitaba pasarme el día en zapato plano y aprovechar al máximo otro día en Cibeles.

It's been a long time since Susana took pictures of me. She used to shoot most of my outfits, but my sister became my personal photographer some time ago. You know it's always easier to boss around your little sister... Anyway, as we were in Cibeles I asked Susana to take some pics of my outfit. For the second day in Cibeles I chose a very comfy outfit. After spending the previous day on heels, my feet needed a rest, and wearing flats is the best way to take advantage of a fashion week.

Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week I

Ha sido dos días después de que empezara Cibeles cuando por fin me decidí hacer acto de presencia. Y lo cierto es que el domingo no se nos ha dado nada mal. Además mi hermana pequeña ha podido disfrutar de su primera edición de Cibeles y creo que ha acabado encantada. Así que aquí os traigo un pequeño resumen de la jornada. En próximos posts haré un análisis más detallado de las colecciones que he visto y lo que más me ha gustado, pero mientras tanto os dejo con algunas de las pocas fotos medianamente decentes que ha decidido sacar mi cámara. Y es que está claro que necesito un objetivo en condiciones.

I't's two days after Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week started that I've decided to pay my first visit. And I have to say, Sunday has been a really good day. Also, my little sister Alba has enjoyed her first ever Madrid Fashion Week and I think she was quite happy after the whole experience. So, I bring you this visual diary of what the day has been like. I'll make another post to concentrate on the collections I've seen and what I've liked the most, but in the meantime, I leave you a few of the most decent pictures my camera decided to take. It's clear I need to get myself a new lens.

Una de las cosas que más me gusta de las Semanas de la Moda es empaparme de Street Style del bueno. Así que a modo de inspiración para los asistentes a la Madrid Fashion Week, he hecho una recopilación de algunos de los looks que más me han gustado de la New York Fashion Week.

Y a partir de hoy empieza lo bueno. ¿Os veré por Cibeles? Yo aún no tengo muy claro qué desfiles voy a ver, pero bueno, sean los que sean, disfrutar los disfrutaré un montón. ¡Qué ganas!

Cuando me enteré de que mi revista favorita, Harper's Bazaar, y mi tienda de cabecera, H&M, organizaban un concurso, en seguida pensé que tenía que participar. Sin embargo, tardé unos cuantos días en lanzarme ya que el tema del concurso me traía un poco de cabeza. Se trata de encontrar al blogger más elegante del panorama español, y allí es cuando empezó mi duda. ¿Mi estilo se podría considerar elegante? Después de analizar mi estilo al detalle y preguntarme qué es lo que significa ser elegante, llegué a la conclusión de que ser elegante no depende sólo del estilo, sino de la actitud. Entiendo que se trata de mostrar seguridad en lo que llevas puesto sin necesidad de recurrir al exceso, siempre con un toque de sofisticación. Así que con este look intento sacar a la luz mi lado más elegante siendo fiel a mi estilo. Además era importante mostrar las tendencias para la nueva temporada de la mano de H&M, y para elló elegí este vestido cuyo color me transporta directamente al otoño y que se centra en la tendencia de los tejidos transparentes que pisará fuerte en los próximos meses. Y para que mi personalidad estuviera bien presente, añadí un cinturón vintage y mis queridas Lita.

Y es así como yo entiendo la elegancia.

When I found out that my favourite magazine, Harper's Bazaar, and the shop where I buy most of my clothes, H&M, decided to join forces and put together a contest, I inmediately thought I had to participate. However, it took me a few days to finally join the contest due to the theme they had proposed. They are looking for the most elegant Spanish blogger, and that's when I started to doubt: Can my style be considered elegant? After analysing my style in detail and wondering what the word elegant really means, I came to the conclusion that being elegant is not just a question of style, it's more a question of attitude. I understand that being elegant involves feeling confident with what you are wearing without resorting to excess, always adding a touch of sophistication. So, I've chosen this look to bring out my elegant side being true to my own style. For the contest, it's also important to dress according to the new fall trends using at least one item from the new H&M collection, and in order to do so, I've chosen this dress. The colour screams out Autumn and its sheer fabric represents one of the most popular trends for the next season. To add a bit of my personality, I've also used a vintage belt and my beloved Litas.

And this is how I understand what being elegant means.

Ya ni recuerdo cuándo fue la última vez que fui de compras. Y es que durante el verano mi economía no suele estar por las nubes. Ahora bien, que no tenga dinero no implica que no tenga ganas de comprar, así que dedico gran parte de mi tiempo libre a recorrerme toda tienda online que se precie haciéndome una idea de todas esas piezas que me gustaría tener en mi poder esta temporada. Hoy es el turno de Topshop, gran fuente de inspiración, y allí he encontrado algunas de las cosas claves que necesito tener en mi armario. Vestidos de flores (nunca tendré suficientes), anillos para ampliar mi colección de accesorios, mucho terciopelo para el invierno que se avecina, lunares por todas partes y purpurina en mis pies.

I can´t even remember the last time I went shopping. Sadly, I don´t have a lot of money during the summer. Anyway, the fact that I don´t have money doesn´t mean I don´t have the urge to go shopping, and that´s why I spend a lot of my free time visiting any online store I can find to create an idea of all the pieces I want for the new season. I always look for inspiration in Topshop, and this time I´ve also found many of the key items I need to have in my closet. Floral dresses (I never have enough of them), rings to enlarge my accesories collection, a lot of velvet for winter, polkadots everywhere and glitter on my feet.

Hacía tiempo que no aparecían por aquí fotos de fiesta, pero qué mejor ocasión para que vuelvan que una noche de fiesta con mis queridos Piter, Cynthia y Alejandro, y mi amiga Tichún que se apunta a un bombardeo. Aprovechando la visita de Piter a Madrid, nos plantamos en Nasti, que francamente no era exactamente cómo me esperaba y el hilo musical dejaba bastante que desear. Pero bueno, todo se soluciona cuando suena Pitbull y te marcas un Lanvin con la mejor compañía.

It's been a long time since I last posted party pictures, but what better occasion to show you a few than a party with my dear Piter, Cynthia and Alejandro, and my friend Tichún who is always ready for a good party. As Piter had to come to Madrid, we decided to get together and go to Nasti, which wasn't really what I expected and the music was actually quite bad. Anyway, you can't complain when they play Pitbull and you get the chance to do your own Lanvin dance routine.

Poco salgo de mi casa últimamente. Es más, poco salgo de mi cama. Y es que en época de exámenes mi cama se convierte en mi escritorio particular. Así que aprovechando uno de mis muchos descansos saqué mi nueva corona de Primark a pasear. Que presiento que para cuando acabe los exámenes y vuelva a salir al mundo, pocos días veraniegos quedarán por delante para lucir flores en la cabeza.

Por lo demás, mañana empiezo mis exámenes. ¡Deseadme suerte!

I haven't left the house much lately. In fact, I haven't left my bed. My bed becomes my own little study desk when the exam season comes. So in one of my many breaks from my books I decided to take a few pics with my new floral crown from Primark. I have the feeling that once my exams are over and I go back to the real world, there won't be many summer days ahead to wear flowers on my head.

Septiembre es un mes que me gusta. Siempre he sido muy fan de la vuelta al cole y esa sensación de renovarse y empezar un curso nuevo con energía positiva. Siempre ha sido así hasta este año, que de buenas a primeras me he encontrado con un pequeño obstáculo que descoloca mis planes. Se ve que después de aquel "año sabático" y mis muchas dudas de universitaria, licenciarme se va a tener que posponer aún más. Pero bueno, no puedo decaer, así que me toca concentrarme en esos exámenes que no me han cambiado de fecha repentinamente... Es por ello que en estos momentos de mi vida básicamente sólo salgo de casa para comprar tabaco, lo cual hace que sea muy complicado sacar fotos del modelito de turno. Pero hoy he hecho una excepción y he optado por vestirme como una persona normal para salir a la calle a por mi dosis de nicotina. He aquí el resultado.

I like September. I've always been a fan of going back to school and the feeling of renewal and positive energy when you are about to start a new year. But this time is different. A little obstacle has come my way and changed my plans a bit. It seems that after that little "sabatical" year I took and all the doubts that have accompanied me through my last couplee of years at uni, I will have to postpone finishing my degree even longer. But hey! I can't let myself down, I have to concentrate on my other exams which have not magically changed date... That's why I haven't been able to leave the house lately, unless If I´m in need of some cigarettes . Considering my situation is quite difficult to snap some shots of whatever I´m wearing, , but today 've decided to make an exception and dress like a normal person in my search for my nicotine dose. Aunque viendo algunas de estas fotos surja la duda, la ciudad aquí retratada es Glasgow. No penséis que todas esas señales y semáforos al más puro estilo americano son originales de Glasgow, pero son necesarios cuando parte de la ciudad se convierte en Philadelphia para grabar una película de zombies con Brad Pitt como protagonista. Es de imaginar que el tema del momento es la visita de Brad Pitt y alguno incluso se anima a buscarle algún doble como se ve en la última foto.

Por lo demás, pasearme por las calles de Glasgow, con o sin Brad Pitt de por medio, es uno de mis rituales de verano. Es una ciudad genial para ir de compras, y aunque este verano he intentado frenarme un poco, el mero hecho de entrar en Urban Outfitters o American Apparel me sirve para inspirarme y a la vez llenarme de rabia sabiendo que a España no llegan tiendas tan cuidadas. ¿Y qué es lo mejor que hay después de una jornada de compras? Ir a comer a tu restaurante favorito. Wagamama es mi restaurante favorito en Glasgow, pero hay otra pega: ¡tampoco hay Wagamama en España!¡Qué casualidad! Quizás debería dejarlo todo y dedicarme a abrir Wagamamas y Urban Outfitters por toda España. Seguro que así haría feliz a muchos...

Looking at these pictures you might get a bit confused, but I´m telling you, this is Glasgow. Don't think all the American traffic lights and signs are original from Glasgow, but they are needed when you transform part of the city into Philadelphia with the purpose of filming a zombie movie with Brad Pitt as the protagonist. You can imagine everyone is talking about it and some might even find a double as you can see in the last pic.

Anyway, walking around Glasgow is one of my summer rituals, with or without the chance of bumping into Brad Pitt. It's a great city for shopping, and although this year I tried to control myself, I'm happy just to visit Urban Outfitters and American Apparel and find some inspiration at the same time as I feel terribly annoyed by the fact that we can't find any of these amazing stores in Spain. And what's the best thing to do after some shopping? Having lunch at your favourite restaurant. Wgamama is my favourtie restaurant in Glasgow, but hey! here's another problem, we don't have Wagamama in Spain. How strange! Maybe I should just leave everything and start opening Wagamamas and Urban Outfitters all over Spain, I'm sure I would make a lot of people happy...

Hacía tiempo que no me daba tanta rabia volver a casa después de hacer la visita de rigor a Escocia. Supongo que el hecho de que mi vuelta a casa traiga consigo la vuelta a los estudios no ayuda mucho. Pero la vida es dura y hay que ponerse manos a la obra. Eso sí, lo que más odio al volver a casa es encontrarme con el tiempo veraniego de Madrid. Puede parecer una locura pero se agradece un montón encontrarse con el tiempo nublado y lluvioso de Escocia. Prefiero el frío al calor, no sólo en cuanto a temperatura se refiere sino también en cuanto a tendencias. Una vez que pruebo el tiempo más otoñal que veraniego en Escocia, mis ganas de que llegue el mal tiempo aumentan. Y con las ganas de mal tiempo llegan las ganas de ropa de abrigo.Y he aquí una de las colecciones que más me ha gustado para esta temporada que se avecina. Y es que las hermanas Mulleavy siempre captan mi atención con cada una de sus colecciones. Cada prenda tiene un "algo" dulce que me apasiona.

I can't remember the last time I was so sad to come back home after my yearly visit to Scotland. I suppose the fact that my exams are close doesn't help. But I have to say, the thing I hate most about coming back home is going back to the hot summer weather in Madrid. It might sound crazy but I really enjoy the cloudy and rainy weather in Scotland. I'm more of a cold weather person, not only because of the cold temperatures but also in means of fashion. Once I have a little taste of fall weather in Scotland my lust for the colder seasons increases. And with this lust comes my need to wear winter clothes. And here is one of my favourite collections for this new season. The Mulleavy sisters always manage to get my attention with every single collection they design. There's something sweet in every single piece.

Cada verano mi familia y yo aprovechamos para visitar algun lugar de Escocia y en esta ocasion le ha tocado el turno a Arran. La isla de Arran es uno de mis sitios favoritos de Escocia. Aparte de que tiene el tamaño perfecto para recorrerla en unas horas y hacerse una idea de lo que es todo el norte de Escocia, tengo muy buenos recuerdos de uno de mis viajes de camping con mis primos hace cosa de 10 años. Y ha sido precisamente donde estuve de camping hace 10 años donde nos hemos alojado, solo que esta vez hemos dejado las tiendas a un lado y hemos optado por un hotel que nos ha encantado a todos. Y estas son algunas de las fotos que he sacado, aunque tengo que decir que es muy dificil captar en una foto lo increible que son los paisajes escoceses, hay que verlo en persona.

Every summer my family and I travel somewhere in Scotland and this year it was time to visit Arran again. The Isle of Arran is one of my favourite places in Scotland. It has the perfect size to travel around it in no time and it also brings me really good memories from a camping trip I did with my cousins ten years ago. And it's in that very same place that we stayed last night, only this time instead of sleeping in tends we chose to stay at the hotel, which by the way, we all loved. These are some of the pics I've taken these past couple of days, although I have to say it's basically impossible to capture the beauty of the Scottish scenery in a picture, you have to be there to see it.

Poco tiempo tengo para dedicarle al blog. Basicamente lo unico que hago es ir de casa de un familiar a otro aprovechando para comer y beber demasiado (asi son las cosas en Coatbridge). En unas horas me iré a Escocia como cada verano para pasar unos días con mi familia. Como ya he explicado en alguna ocasión, soy mitad escocesa mitad española, así que siempre espero con ilusión el momento de volver a mi querida Escocia y beber mucho irn-bru, comer mucho chicken pakora e incluso disfrutar de ese "maravilloso" tiempo escocés. No sé si en los próximos 10 días pòdré prestar mucha atención al blog, pero por si no puedo os dejo por unos días con estas fotos tan bonitas del fotógrafo Viktor Vauthier. In a few hours, like every summer, I will be taking a plane to Scotland to spend a few days with my family. As I have mentioned before, I'm half Scottish half Spanish, so I always look forward to going back to my beloved Scotland and driking lots or irn-bru, eating lots of chicken pakora and even enjoying the "wonderful" Scottish weather. Si el otro día me centraba en looks otoñales más apropiados para dentro de unas semanas, hoy voy a ir más allá con las tendencias que estaremos llevando dentro de un año. Y es que ya ha empezado esa época del año que tanto me gusta. Las semanas de la moda ya han comenzado y las primeras en sacar sus propuestas han sido las de los países nórdicos. Tengo que decir que el estilo nórdico me encanta. Tiene algo muy minimalista y original. Adoro el estilo que se ve en ciudades como Estocolmo o Copenhage y uno de mis blogs favoritos, que yo considero como la muestra perfecta de ese estilo nórdico, es Anywho. Precisamente en mi visita diaria al blog me llamó la atención el post que habían dedicado a la colección de Minimarket y directa que me fui a cotillear todo lo que había pasado en la Copenhague Fashion Week. Y éstas dos son las colecciones que más me gustaron.

The other day I introduced a few fall looks perfect to wear in a few weeks. Well, today I'm going a bit farther by concentrating on the trends we will be wearing next summer. My favourite time of the year has begun. Fashion weeks all over the world have started to take place and it has been the Northern European countries the first ones to show their collections. I have to say I love scandinavian style.There's something minimalistic and original about it. I adore how people dress in cities like Stockholm or Copenhagen and one of my favourite blogs, which I consider to be the best example of what scandinavian style is, is Anywho. And it was on one of my daily visits to their blog that I came across their post about the Minimarket collection, so I inmediately had to take a look at all the collections from Copenhagen Fashion Week. These two are my favourite.

In the dark dark wood

Ayer por la noche nos dio por hacer una sesión de "vivac". Para quien no sepa lo que es, yo tampoco lo sabía, consiste en pasar la noche en el campo a la intemperie con lo justo y necesario, y como estamos un poco locos a Cercedilla que nos fuimos a pasar un poco de miedo, especialmente yo que soy un poco caguica, y a disfrutar de las estrellas fugaces. No estuvo mal la experiencia, seguro que repito, pero mientras tanto os dejo con algunas fotos que pudimos sacar antes de quedarnos completamente a oscuras.

Last night we decided to do a little "vivac". In case you don't know what it is, I didn't, it consists on spending the night out in the open in the countryside with only the very basic, and because my friends and I are a little crazy we went to Cercedilla to tell some ghost stories, which is a bit of a problem for me because I get scared quite easily, and enjoy the shooting stars. It wasn't a bad experience at all, I'm sure I'll do it again, but in the meantime here are some pics we took before it got completely dark.

Hoy el blog vuelve a la normalidad. Y qué mejor forma de hacerlo que con una dosis de inspiración. Lo que más me gusta de estas fechas es empezar a echar un vistazo a las tendencias de la nueva temporada. Cierto es que todavía estamos a principios de agosto y eso significa que aún nos quedan unas cuantas semanas de calor, pero en mi caso me puedo permitir empezar a centrarme en looks con un toque más otoñal porque como cada año en breves me iré a pasar unos días a Escocia y es por todos conocido que en mi querido país el buen tiempo suele brillar por su ausencia. Today the blog goes back to normal. And what better way to do it than with an inspiration post. One of the things I like best this time of the year is to start looking at the new autumn trends. Two weeks ago I was spending the night in a train on my way to Lisbon with high expectations on my holidays. And it was even better than I had expected. Últimamente estoy un poco falta de ganas para sacarme fotos. Pero antes de irme a mi primera tanda de vacaciones tenía que sacar este modelito a pasear, que en los próximos días estaré llevando de todo menos taconazos. Y precisamente como en un par de días me voy a tierras portuguesas me he pasado la tarde haciendo alguna que otra compra para el viaje. Aunque tengo la sensación de haber comprado demasiadas cosas sin pensar lo suficiente. Ahora tocará hacer un repaso a esas compras a ver si hay cosas que no deberían haber venido a casa conmigo...

Lately I've been feeling a bit lazy when taking outfit pics. But before I went on my first holiday of the summer I had to take this dress for a walk, considering I'll be wearing anything but high heels in the next few days. And because I'll be spending a few days in Portugal I've spent the afternoon getting stuff for my trip. The only problem is I think I haven't spent my money wisely today, so I'll have to check if everything I got today is worth keeping. Wish me luck!
